“Bridges for Hope and Peace" (B4HP) was founded in spring 2017 in Austria.
The starting point was Michaela C. Fried’s personal committment and work in Gaza. Together with colleagues from Israel and the Gaza Strip, Michaela worked on a two-year basis to establish the concept of a "new family authority”. In line with the psychology of the "new authority", a key pillar in this is cooperation. It is only through networking with people who support our work that we can build bridges, which will enable our work to become efficient.
As therapists and people in social professions, we work daily with a neutral attitude in systems, be it in families, schools or communities. If necessary, we talk about and point out damaging dynamics and try to solve them pedagogically or therapeutically. It is only in this capacity that we are committed in the broadest sense to our political responsibilities - in National and International projects.
B4HP is not about questioning political solutions, but recognises them. This applies to all nations who are in a war conflicts, including the Gaza conflict.
With this attitude, B4HP would like to deliberately promote the processes of nonviolent communication and to form networks that will pursue this idea with us.
